The challenge
The old wood entry door had warped and let drafts straight into the foyer, the lock was tired and the whole entry looked dated and dark. The homeowners wanted something more secure and energy-efficient, but also brighter and more welcoming — the front door is the first thing anyone sees.
What we did
We removed the old door and frame entirely and installed a new insulated steel entry system — a foam-core steel door that resists warping and dents, hung in a fresh, square frame with a new sill and full weatherstripping. Glass sidelights with Low-E privacy glass went in on both sides to pull daylight into the foyer without sacrificing privacy. We fitted a secure multi-point lockset and deadbolt, and finished the trim clean inside and out.
The result
A front entry that's now secure, sealed and genuinely welcoming — no more drafts, a solid steel door that won't warp, and sidelights that brighten what used to be a dark foyer. The multi-point lock adds real security, and the whole entry lifts the curb appeal of the house. Done in a single day.
