The challenge
The home still had most of its original single-pane windows — painted shut in places, drafty everywhere, and doing nothing to keep out winter cold or street noise. The homeowners were heating the outdoors and tired of cold spots by every window, but worried a full-home replacement would mean days of mess and disruption.
What we did
We replaced all fourteen windows with Energy Star double-hung vinyl units — Low-E, argon-filled dual-pane glass in insulated frames. Each opening was measured precisely, the old window removed cleanly, and the new unit set square, insulated around the perimeter and properly flashed so air and water stay out. We finished every interior with clean trim and caulk, and tilt-in sashes make the new windows easy to clean from inside.
The result
A noticeably warmer, quieter home with no more drafts by the glass — and the homeowners reported a real drop in their heating bills the first winter. The whole house was done in two days, every room cleaned up at the end of each day, and the new windows came with Energy Star efficiency and a strong manufacturer warranty.
