The finishing details

The least glamorous part of your exterior — and one of the most important.

  • Ventilated Soffit
  • Rot Protection
  • Quality Workmanship

Soffit and fascia live under the roofline, where most people never look — until water gets in. The fascia is the board your gutters hang from; the soffit is the underside of the overhang. Together they seal the gap between your roof and walls, and when they rot or sag, moisture and pests follow them straight into the attic and eaves.

We replace and cap these with low-maintenance materials: ventilated vinyl or aluminum soffit panels that let the attic breathe, and custom-bent aluminum capping that wraps wood fascia so it never needs painting and won't rot again. Proper soffit ventilation also helps your attic shed heat and moisture, which protects the roof above and the insulation below.

Done as part of a siding project or on their own, these details are what make an exterior look truly finished — crisp, color-matched lines around the eaves with no exposed, peeling wood. Our in-house crews handle any rot repair first, then wrap and trim it clean, finished with careful, quality workmanship.

Soffit & Fascia FAQ

Soffit, fascia & trim questions, answered.

Noticed peeling paint or sagging at the eaves? Call us at (802) 321-3332 — happy to talk it through.

Fascia is the vertical board running along the edge of the roof, where the gutters attach. Soffit is the horizontal underside of the roof overhang. Together they close in and protect the eaves; both are common spots for rot and pest entry.

It depends on the extent of the damage. Isolated rot can be repaired and capped; widespread water damage is usually better fully replaced. Our free inspection tells you honestly which makes sense.

Soffit vents are the intake side of your attic ventilation. They let cool air in at the eaves so heat and moisture can escape higher up, which protects your roof, insulation and energy bills. We make sure ventilation is correct, not just sealed up.

Yes. We wrap wood fascia in custom-bent aluminum capping color-matched to your trim, so it's sealed against weather and never needs repainting.

Absolutely — soffit, fascia and trim can be done on their own, or bundled with a siding or gutter project. We'll quote it either way.
