Why insulated

Vinyl siding with a built-in energy upgrade.

  • Energy Efficient
  • Dent Resistant
  • Quality Workmanship

Insulated siding is vinyl with a contoured foam backing permanently fused to the panel. That foam fills the gap between the siding and the wall, adding a continuous layer of insulation that ordinary siding leaves out — which means fewer drafts, more even indoor temperatures and a noticeable difference on older Levittown and Bucks County homes that were built with little wall insulation.

The foam does more than save energy. It backs the panel so the siding feels solid, lies flatter against the wall and resists the dents and flex that thinner vinyl can show after a stray ball or hailstorm. It also dampens outside noise — traffic, mowers, neighbors — for a quieter house.

Like all our siding, the payoff is in the install. Our in-house crews wrap the home, flash the openings and hang the insulated panels with proper expansion so the wall stays straight and sealed. You get the energy and comfort benefits with the same near-zero maintenance as standard vinyl, finished with careful, quality workmanship.

What we install

Everything that goes into an insulated re-side.

From wrap to trim, one in-house crew handles the whole job — no subcontractors.

01

Foam-backed panels

Contoured insulated vinyl that adds up to roughly R-4 of continuous wall insulation while giving the siding a solid, flat, high-end look.

02

Continuous insulation

Insulation that wraps the whole wall instead of stopping at the studs, reducing the thermal bridging that drives up heating and cooling bills.

03

Noise dampening

The foam backing absorbs outside sound, noticeably quieting traffic, equipment and neighborhood noise inside the home.

04

Dent & impact resistance

Backed panels resist the dents, flex and warping that thinner siding can show, holding a flat, clean wall for decades.

05

House wrap & flashing

A weather-resistive barrier and properly flashed openings behind the panels keep wind-driven rain off the sheathing.

06

Trim & finish

Color-matched trim, corners and J-channel that frame the openings and seal the edges for a finished, watertight exterior.

Wondering if insulated is worth it? Call us at (802) 321-3332 — happy to talk it through.

It adds a continuous layer of insulation across the whole wall, which reduces drafts and thermal bridging. Homeowners with older, under-insulated homes tend to see the biggest improvement in comfort and heating costs. It's not a furnace replacement, but it's a meaningful, lasting upgrade.

It costs somewhat more up front than standard vinyl because of the foam backing and added labor. Many homeowners feel the difference is worth it for the energy savings, quieter interior and more solid look. After a free visit you get an itemized, fixed quote.

Yes — the foam backing supports the panel, so it resists dents, flex and warping better than hollow vinyl and lies flatter against the wall.

Noticeably, yes. The foam absorbs outside sound, so traffic, mowers and neighborhood noise are muffled compared to standard siding.
